About the event

This series of 18 therapeutic exercises was originally developed in the 1970s by Dr Zhuang Yuan Ming, a trauma specialist in Shanghai. Based on a wide range of moves from other different styles of QiGong, Tai Chi, and Kung Fu, these moves were adjusted to help people recover from head-to-toe injuries.

The body benefits from gentle stretches, increased oxygenation of the organs and cells, as well as better flow of blood, lymph, and Qi (vital energy) by incorporating slow, deliberate movement with deep breathing and mind-focus.

 NOTES

  • wear loose, comfortable clothing, and shoes or runners

  • bring some water or tea to sip on so you keep hydrated

  • chairs will be available for those who want to participate but have problems doing the exercises while standing
